What's in a name?

OK, so my blog is entitled Climbing Mandy, however there isn't a single photo of me climbing. This pic aims to redress this.... it's the competition wall at Ratho - Europe's largest indoor climbing arena which is right on my doorstep. I hope to have a photo from Glencoe (January Jigsaw) very soon. Be very scared.....

Barrathon

I competed in the Barrathon last weekend - 1/2 marathon round Barra in the Outer Hebrides. What a fantastic place and super-friendly people!
I was the third lady in with 1:43:08 and won a bottle of wine and a commemorative brandy glass for my troubles! Nice bonus.
Here's a photo of me the day before when I cycled round the island to check out the route. Anyone fancy cycling the Outer Hebrides later in the year?

Greetings to all on my first blog!

Hi everyone,
Amanda has finally moved into the 21st century by creating her own blog site! I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with it but by all accounts it should make me a better person! I'm sure there'll be mistakes along the way but hey, that's what learning is all about.
Once I've got the technology a bit better sussed I'll try and post some photos from my recent trip to Russia.
