So back in the day, I was an avid rock climber. Hence the blog name. Until two dogs entered my life. Climbing was knocked on the head and I became a full time dog mum!

New Beginnings?

Is it possible to find one's way back to regular blogging after a 10+ year hiatus?  A lot of water has passed under the bridge with both Horatio and Harris passing away a couple of years ago.  My first dogs and very much loved and missed.  I won't dwell on their passing - suffice to say both were taken too soon and my sense of loss immense.  The price of loving your dogs unconditionally.

With the recent tragic passing of my blogging friend Gail of Bouncing Bertie and Nobby fame, I find myself driven to get back out there to the blogging world.  Gail was a true inspiration. To this day, I maintain a selfish daily ritual of consuming certain blogs.  I think it is perhaps time, I gave a little back.

I live a small life in Scotland but share it with my husband and two (new) dogs - Hamish and Hercule.  To me, we live a big life of small happenings.  Multiple daily dog walks on East Lothian's beaches, running (if my darn knee injury would ever heal) and working.  Let's see if I can keep up some sort of blogging habit and rekindle some friendships!

Welcome back to blogging, though I didn't know you before. Two fine boys you have there. It's always good to see life through a dog's eyes.

Hi Mandy...I came to you from YAM Aunty's blog. Even though I never met Gail,
Hamish, Bertie of Nobby...I felt like I had known them all my life. I found Gail's blog when she had Hamish...always looked forward to each day with each post of each pup. So very thankful you and YAM (whom I have met) found each other.
Hamish and Hercule are most handsome. I recently met (in the furs) my first
a smooth coated Vizsla. Oh what a beautiful coat the Vizsla has. I could be a tad jealous of their red furs.
So welcome and I look forward to reading your adventures
When I started blogging Madison D Cat aka da Diva was in charge of the blog. Bertie often said 'she was a ok for a cat'! She passed at age 16 1/2 in 2018.
